The nominations list for the 50th annual Grammy Awards has now been announced. This year, Music Sales composers are well represented in several categories. In the category for Best Instrumental Composition, I Knew Her (From Notes on a Scandal) by Philip Glass is nominated. Neruda Songs by Peter Lieberson receives nominations in both Best Classical Album and Best Classical Vocal Performance. Joan Tower receives nominations in the Best Orchestral Performance category and also Best Classical Contemporary Composition for Made in America . The awards ceremony will take place on February 10, 2008.
