Aficionados of Judith Weir’sopera Blond Eckbert will have the chance to see the ‘Pocket Version’ in Eckbert’s home country. Berlin Chamber Opera produces the country premiere on October 24 conducted by Brynmore Jones. Only a few days later on November 2 the Austrian premiere follows in a new production sung in German at Innsbruck Theatre. A third staging of this black romantic novel can bee seen at Vienna Chamber Opera next February.
