Festival of contemporary Nordic composition music in Prague, March 2007

In March 2007, under the banner “Heading North” the Czech Philharmonic is presenting the Prague music public with a number of new Nordic works composed in the period 2001-2006.
It looks like being a fantastic festival week with exciting music by the best Nordic composers – here at Wilhelm Hansen we are of course very enthusiastic about the fact that so many of the composers and works we represent will be played during the festival. And how often do we in Denmark have the chance to hear Hans Abrahamsen’s Four Pieces for Orchestra, Arne Nordheim’s Phonos, Poul Ruders’ Final Nightshade, Pelle Gudmundsen-Holmgreen’s Four Madrigals, Niels Rosing-Schow’s Black Virgin, Bent Sørensen’s Nocturnal, Per Nørgård’s Through Thorns and Anders Koppel’s Pogo – all in the same week?
No, not often, so it’s just a matter of taking a trip to Prague from 24th to 31st March 2007.
